Garden building Overview
Our garden buildings are fully insulated and designed to be used throughout the year. We generally do permitted developments which means that you don't need to worry about getting planning permission. The service is managed end to end from foundations to paintwork with all the labour and materials needed to complete.
Foundations
Ground screw piling on a floating timber base of C24 structual timber is a popular choice due to its green credentials and low impact installation. We do however offer alternative foundations such as concrete piling or concrete slabs influenced by the ground conditions and customer preferences.
Timber Framing
The structures are built using solid engineered timber framing and insulated with 100mm PIR for all year use. The fully ventilated wood work allows the building to breath whilst being fully air tight inside with vapor controlled barriers. It is designed and built with building regs in mind.
Cladding
The choice of cladding is endless including the likes of wood, cement board, and composites. Recycled plastic composites has certainly become more popular due to its maintenance free benefits, contemporary look and commercial viability in recent years.
Roofing
EDPM is a common choice of roofing due to its longevity, versatility and neat finish. Others include metal panelling or GRP. If you want to go extra green, you can incorporate a living roof.
